Bring the carrot closer to the donkey and shut the critics up

Every time you write a sales message, like an email, website etc- There is a raving critique on the other end of the line. The simple fact is-he/she does not believe you. He/she does not believe a single word out of your mouth.

I’m still shocked sometimes how shut down people are when it comes to believing anything. We are a world of sceptics who take everything with a pinch of salt.

One way to bypass this critic filter is simply to make your promise more in line with what people think is possible…otherwise they shout HYPE from the hilltops.

Case in point: I had a client recently who could get you 400% ROI on a Facebook ad. I saw the proof and it was for real. However, when we included that promise in the headline-people barked “bullshit” and “hype” and said it didn’t work.

So, we tried something radically different.

We said we could double, triple or quadruple your Facebook ROI.

The result was: One Very happy client who has a residual income of $15k a month from his product.

The moral here is: create promises that are closer to what your prospects believe is possible…bring the carrot closer to the donkey… Otherwise…the critic can stop you dead in your tracks.
